History

The Odell Dorothys Educational Scholarship Foundation was established February, 2018 as a memorial to Odell and Dorothy Price – who deceased May, 2009 and December, 2009, respectively. Odell Price was employed with Interlake Steel Incorporation for 35 dedicated years and supported his family. Dorothy Price (wife) maintained as a domestic engineer with three lovely children. Dorothy always found ways to support her community; she was known to contribute to school fees, books, carfare, uniforms, you name it! She never stopped until her date of departure from this loving Earth. After Odell and Dorothy passing, they set aside some funds to help other children in need towards their post-secondary education.

ODELL DOROTHYS EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION

Odell Dorothys Educational Scholarship Foundation honors the late Odell and Dorothy Price, who were long time supporters of the Southside Chicago community.

The Foundation seeks to provide support to scholars who are in need of financial assistance and support to succeed in their post-secondary education pursuits. Scholars in the Foundation are assigned a coordinator who will work with them personally and provide a number of services, mentorship, tutoring, financial assistance and more.
